Role Summary

As a growing organisation with a diverse customer base looking to bolster our IT department with this exciting new role. We are looking for Full Stack PHP developers, with experience in the CakePHP and Laravel frameworks, to take our systems to the next level.

You will be joining a team of people who are very passionate about their work and the delivery of their systems. A team who work to best practice and encourage both professional and personal growth for their staff.

Key Skills

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience working with and developing with CakePHP and Laravel frameworks in production environments, where best practice is followed
• Experience with the PHP Standard Recommendation (PSR) coding standard
• MySQL
• Good experience in Git source/version control management
• Demonstrable ability to write clean, structured, maintainable code
• Deep understanding of object-oriented design principles and patterns
• Experience with security, form validation, XSS prevention, SQL injection and other OWASP guidelines
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
• A team player, with a ‘can do’ attitude
• Excellent level of written and spoken English

 Desirable Skills 

• Experience with systems in the healthcare sector
• Amazon Web Services
• Linux Ubuntu
• Server stack
• DNS/hosting

Functional Competencies

• Confident communicator across all organisational levels
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 and client management systems
• Proven leadership experience across multi-site and cross-functional teams
• Skilled in written and verbal business communication
• Capable of working in high-pressure environments with competing priorities
• Commercial and contractual awareness desirable
