Job Title: Occupational Health Nurse
Hours: 2 or 3 days per week (6 Month Fixed-Term Contract)

Role Summary
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Occupational Health Nurse to join our team on a fixed-term contract, working 2 days per week. This role will involve providing on-site Occupational Health services to a range of clients, requiring regular travel to client locations. All travel expenses, including fuel, will be reimbursed.
As an Occupational Health Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality clinical services, promoting employee wellbeing, and supporting businesses in maintaining safe and healthy workplaces.

Key Responsibilities
As part of the MCL Medics clinical team, your responsibilities may include:
Delivering on-site, nurse-led fitness for work medicals including:
FLT medicals
Working at heights assessments
Chester Step Tests
Musculoskeletal assessments
Bespoke assessments for safety-critical roles
Delivering on-site Health Surveillance clinics, including:
Audiometry
Spirometry
Skin assessments
HAVS screening
Supporting on-site vaccination programmes (e.g. Influenza, Hepatitis B), including phlebotomy where required
Delivering wellbeing and “know your numbers” clinics, including:
Blood pressure, height, weight, and cholesterol checks
Health promotion and employee education
Escalating cases appropriately to senior clinicians
Maintaining accurate and compliant medical records
Communicating effectively with colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders
Ensuring the safe use and maintenance of clinical equipment
Essential Qualifications & Skills
Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a valid NMC PIN
Previous experience working within an Occupational Health setting
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and travel to client sites
Desirable Qualifications & Skills
(Not all required – training can be provided where appropriate)
HAVS (FOM approved training or equivalent)
Audiometry competency
Spirometry competency
Chester Step Test experience (training available)
Up-to-date Anaphylaxis and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required for vaccination work)
Phlebotomy experience
